The 4th Annual Zumbro Block Party is set for Sunday, September 7 from 9am-12 noon with one outdoor worship service at 9:30am on the east lawn.
As part of the worship service we will once again be doing a Blessing of the Backpacks. Students, teachers, and all who carry a bag on their shoulders during the school year, bring your bag and your heart for a special school year beginning blessing!
Come for worship and stay for The Jolly Pops (musical dads/children's entertainment group) immediately following at 10:30am--plus outdoor games by the Scouts and Rainbow School, bouncy house, slide, and food trucks all morning—Northwoods Orchard donuts served by the Scouts from the Open Table Food Truck, Bloom Acai Cafe and Taco Lab. Join us as we celebrate our community and neighborhood!
In support of food security in Rochester, we will be once again asking for people to bring non-perishable, non-expired, unopened/original packaged food items that day for our indoor and outdoor pantries. Some of the most wanted and needed items include:
tuna pouches/tuna cans
cans of chicken
cans of spam
protein granola bars
packets of oatmeal
individual fruit cups
individual applesauce cups
mac and cheese cups
peanut butter
ramen noodles
microwave soups
complete microwave meals
This will be our second year featuring The Jolly Pops after worship. The Jolly Pops are a children’s music and entertainment group built around Dads who love to play music for kids.Their presentation involves music, movement, and fun learning through experience. They even have puppet friends in tow who often get in on the fun! To learn more about The Jolly Pops visit thejollypops.com or watch their music videos on their YouTube page.
