Unitarianism in Transylvania: A Photographic Pilgrimage September 10 – October 15 at the Williams Gallery Opening Reception: Friday, September 12 | 6–8pm

We invite you to experience Unitarianism in Transylvania, a powerful exhibit by photographer Stephen Spinder, who spent nearly twenty years living among the Unitarian communities of Transylvania. Through his lens, Spinder captures the sacred beauty of fortified churches, centuries-old traditions, and the enduring spirit of faith in the region where Unitarianism was born.

This exhibit offers a rare glimpse into our spiritual heritage—showcasing partner churches supported by U.S. congregations and revealing how ancient folk culture continues to thrive amidst modern change.
