About this Event

SWPC History: Ghost Canals along the South Wedge Riverfront with John Curran

The growth and prosperity of early Rochester depended on the creation of two hand-dug canals, both of which occupied the Genesee River corridor along today’s South Wedge neighborhood.

The presentation will feature a discussion and a display of photos, maps and documents describing the long-lost east riverside Feeder Canal and the westside Genesee Valley Canal.
