Roses in Watercolor

Discover how to capture the timeless beauty of roses in this hands-on watercolor workshop that takes you from bud to full bloom. You’ll learn to see and paint the radial shape and soft, hugging petals of roses using simple sketches and a limited color palette. Working from fresh roses, we’ll practice layering, glazing, and illustrative detail as you build toward a finished 8×10 floral study to take home. Each student will create a custom bouquet for reference and receive a workbook to follow along during class. All skill levels are welcome, and this class is a great next step for those who’ve taken introductory floral watercolor classes, seeking a creative and supportive session of learning, painting, and floral inspiration!
