Nusantara Arts is coming to Rochester Fringe Festival!! This time we’re bringing you Calon Arang: The Balinese Dance-Drama of Sacred Balance between Good and Evil.

The story of Calon Arang is an ancient Balinese legend centered on the struggle of a community to overcome the dark magic of the powerful and fearsome Calon Arang. It is a tale of the balance of cosmic powers that underpins the philosophy of Balinese society featuring vibrant music, dancing and an enigmatic cast of characters. Join us as we perform electrifying highlights from this one-of-a-kind show with new music composed by master Balinese musician and guest performer Gusti Komin.
