Some words from Isaiah about his music:
I wrote the songs of this album many years ago, inspired by a time of great wrestling with God. Of the Depths, is both a reference to the anguish of the Psalms (e.g. #130: "Out of the depths I cry to thee, O Lord!") and a descriptor of the album's contents: Of (about/concerning) the Depths (of me and my lowest times). As you could guess, then, the album is somewhat gritty and heavy, and the style is a little harder and more electric to help match that tone. The album beats its wings frenetically to fly away from pain, it dives miserably into the watery chaos before creation, but ultimately, and most importantly, it finds Christ there in the midst of both ventures.
