Listening is a shared act that connects us to one another. Inspired by Robin Wall Kimmerer’s writings on mutuality Laura’s concerts “Listen, also” and “Listen, beyond,” draw on Kimmerer’s belief that communities grow stronger through acts of generosity, attention, and reciprocity. The concerts reflect Kimmerer’s idea that shared attention can be a form of giving, creating a small, reciprocal exchange between performers and listeners.
