Twin Cities based j.bell & the Lazy Susan Band acoustic trio concludes their triumphant upper midwest mini tour at Thesis Beer Project & is joined by beloved Rochester locals The D’Sievers Trio.
With twangy guitars, luscious three-part harmonies, B3 organ blasts, honky-tonk piano and a horn section, j.bell & the Lazy Susan Band straddles Americana, Blues & Country, while maintaining that they are simply “straight up Rock & Roll”. Influenced by Bob Dylan, Tom Petty, Old 97s, Counting Crows, Soul Asylum and many more, this Minnesota rock band always delivers energetic and memorable shows. Since 2001, they have released six full-length records, two EPs, and a live album, while juggling performances all over the upper Midwest as well as in Arizona and Mexico. They have shared stages with Roger Clyne & the Peacemakers, David Lowery (Cracker), Miles Nielsen & the Rusted Hearts, Kiss the Tiger, Six Mile Grove and many others. The full band is headlining the award-winning Ellsworth, Wisconsin Cheese Curd Festival this summer. The acoustic trio version of the group is a lineup of acoustic guitar, electric piano/organ, cajon drum, a trombone/trumpet horn section & three-part harmony vocals.
They are very excited to have local Rochester music scene mainstays, The D’Sievers Trio, featuring the familiar smooth trombone stylings of John Sievers, open up the night & warm up the stage!!!
