Please join us in welcoming higher education leaders, directors, and government professionals from five Ukrainian cities — Lviv, Odesa, Poltava, Rivne, and Ternopil.
Through the Congressional Office for International Leadership (COIL) Open World program, they will share personal stories about the current realities of war in Ukraine and their mission to learn from the American experience of helping veterans reintegrate into society through education, community, and veteran-focused organizations.
🎤 Hear first-hand about the challenges of supporting veterans as they rebuild their lives, continue their education, and return to civilian life amid ongoing conflict.
📚 Following the discussion, we will also celebrate:
✨ Presentation of the Dnipro–Irondequoit–Poltava “Wings of Inspiration” book project (2025)
✨ 10th Anniversary of the Ukrainian Cultural Exhibit at Irondequoit Public Library
✨ Recognition of the Irondequoit–Poltava Sister Cities relationship, initiated in 1991 and officially established in 1992
