THE DETAILS:
Burly Tuesday is back and I couldn’t be more excited to bring this very sassy group routine out for you! This class in particular will focus on group dancing, so you can expect some fun formations and interactions with each other. It’s to Trombone Shorty’s “Here Come the Girls” and it’s got massive attitude and strut-appeal!
What better way to strip, than with each other? This is dance is a 4-item strip, with tons of bold sexy moves, some precision and formations, a little dirty floorwork, and just a touch of cheeky comedy as well. Whether you are a seasoned performer or brand spankin’ new, this is a multi level class has something for everyone.
CLASS BREAK-DOWN:
Class consists of a basic warm up, a break down of technique, and those techniques will get drilled as combinations. At the end of the eight week session, we’ll have a fully fleshed out dance routine you can perform onstage or for a loved one! And we always end class with a little lead-n-follow freestyle!
WHAT TO WEAR?
Class attire is anything you can comfortably move in and feel good! And while I love a sexy heel, we go barefoot or do a dance slipper or sneaker in the studio, in order to preserve the floor. For the floor work portions, you may want to bring knee pads. However, we won’t be on our knees for long. I will also bring in some items to rehearse in and show you some basic strip tease techniques. More on costuming later...
PRICING, LOCATION, MISC.
Class is open to a levels of dancer and all walks of adventurous, daring people! While a familiarity of dance vocabulary is always helpful, its not necessary as I always will break things down and offer any needed modifications or more advanced options. The 8 week session starts 8/26th runs till 10/14th from 5:30-6:30. Classes are located at Kinections Studio, 718 University Ave. Register the full session for $120 (that’s $15 a class) or drop in class to class for $20.
....AND PERFORMANCE OPPORTUNITY?!
This class also has an optional performance opportunity, as it will be a group dance featured in the upcoming fall Pretty Kitties Show, date 11/15th! If you are interested in performing it in that show-register for the full session and let me know by class 3, so that i can factor you into formations and featured sections.
