A Tribute to John Marcellus "Doc"

On Saturday, Sept. 20, 2025 at 1:30pm, We will celebrate the life and legacy of John Marcellus at the Eastman School of Music during Meliora Weekend. This will take place in Kilbourn hall during the annual Brass Cavalcade concert. The ESM Trombone Choir will perform, and there will be an alumni Trombone Choir as well. Alumni are invited to play in this group. Rehearsals will be Friday Sept. 19 (evening) and Saturday Sept. 20 in the morning. Following the concert, there will be an informal gathering in Kilbourn, and an opportunity to celebrate his life and legacy. More details will be forthcoming.
