An Elimination Mile is a one-mile race ( 4 laps on a track), but with a twist: after each lap, the last runner(s) to cross the line are eliminated, until only a few remain to sprint for the win on the final lap.

Here’s how the Elimination Mile works:

1. You will run one mile (4 laps around the track).
2. The race will be divided into age group heats.
3. At the end of each lap, the last 1 or 2 runners will be eliminated – listen for the whistle or the official’s call.
4. The remaining runners continue to the next lap.
5. On the final lap, the remaining runners sprint to the finish line. The first to cross wins their age group!
   

• 11–15 years
• 16–20years
• 21–30 years
• 31-40 years
• 41+ years
