Join us for a hands-on lesson in Inclining Form, a graceful and expressive arrangement in the Ohara School of Ikebana. This form is designed to express the beauty of flowering plants and branches' inclining appearances in a tall vase.
📖 What to Expect:
* A brief introduction to the key design principles of Inclining-Form, focusing on the mechanics of an arrangement in a tall vase
* A live demonstration by Joe Rotella, Associate 2nd Term Master of the Ohara School
* Hands-on guidance to help you create your own arrangement
* A chance to deepen your understanding of traditional Japanese floral art
🌸 What to Bring:
* A tall vase (about 12" tall with a 2" opening at the top)
* Bamboo skewers
* Flower scissors/clippers
* A small bucket for transporting flowers
* A towel and notebook (optional)

Certified MyFrame Instructor
Joe has studied ikebana since 1993. Joe is an Associate 2nd Term Master in the Ohara School of Ikebana and one of only two Certified Instructors for MyFrame in the United States (as of Spring 2024). Joe was featured in the Spring 2024 edition of 614 Refined magazine (pages 22-24).
He’s an active member of Ikebana International Chapter #84, President of the Miami Valley Ohara Chapter, Newsletter Editor for the Southeastern Ohara Chapter, and Social Media Manager for the Northern Ohara Chapter.
