In the Ripon High School Auditorium
Arthur and Sybil Birling are in their well-appointed dining room celebrating the engagement of their daughter Sheila to a nice young man, Gerald Croft, who is the son of Birling’s business rival. A police inspector arrives at the conclusion of dinner to inquire about the family’s connections to a young woman who has recently died. As the Inspector probes their familiarity with the deceased, greater and darker family secrets come to light.
"An Inspector Calls," written by J.B. Priestley, and directed by Bob Amsden, will open in the Ripon High School auditorium with evening performances on Friday and Saturday June 6 and 7 at 7:00 PM, and a matinee on Sunday June 8 at 2:00 PM. The play is stage in ¾ round with riser seating on the auditorium stage for an intimate theatre experience. The performance space can be accessed through the main aisles of the auditorium or through a hallway adjacent to back stage for those with mobility limitations.
Doors open 30 minutes before each performance and there will be one 15-minute intermission. Play is suitable for ages 13 and older.
