Konference "Žilam Delēzam – 100! Domāt ir notikt"

8. līdz 10. oktobrī LU Mazajā aulā (Raiņa bulv. 19, 2. stāvs) risināsies domāšanas notikums par godu franču filozofa Žila Delēza simtajai gadadienai.

Divu dienu klātienes sesijās varēs dzirdēt mūsdienu kultūras un humanitāro zinātņu pētniekus no Francijas, Turcijas un Lietuvas, u.c. Konferences dalībnieki atklās Delēza filozofijas diskutablo aktualitāti, tās spēku un nozīmi: kā izaicinājumus tradicionālām pieejām, tā atvērtību jaunām perspektīvām. Runa nav tikai par idejām, bet par to, uz ko šāds domāšanas veids spēj mūs rosināt šodien, – domāšanu caur tēliem, afektiem, kino, kustību un laiku.
Noslēgumā iecerēta apaļā galda saruna "Domāt ir notikt: tulkojam Delēzu" par monogrāfijas "Kino" pirmo daļu "Kustībtēls" un otro – "Laiktēls" (latviešu valodā laidis klajā apgāds “Aminori”), kopā ar darba tulkotāju Daci Līdumnieci un zinātnisko redaktoru Andreju Balodi.

Īpaši aicināti studenti, mācībspēki, praktiķi un radošie profesionāļi.

In celebration of the 100th birthday of French philosopher Gilles Deleuze, a thought-provoking event will take place from October 8–10 in the Small Hall of the University of Latvia (Raiņa bulv. 19, 2nd floor).

Over two days of in-person sessions, contemporary scholars in the humanities and cultural studies from France, Turkey, Lithuania, and beyond will come together to explore the ongoing relevance, impact, and significance of Deleuze's philosophy. Participants will examine how his ideas challenge traditional thinking and open up new perspectives. The conference will not only engage with Deleuzian concepts but also consider how this mode of thought can inspire action today—through images, affects, cinema, movement, and time.

The event will conclude with a roundtable discussion titled "Domāt ir notikt: tulkojam Delēzu", focusing on the Latvian translation of Deleuze's two-part monograph Cinema—The Movement-Image and The Time-Image (published by Aminori). The discussion will feature translator Dace Līdumniece and scientific editor Andrejs Balodis.

Students, educators, practitioners, and creative professionals are especially encouraged to attend.

Participation is free of charge, and no prior registration is required.
