Come join us for a fun and creative string quilting event at All Things New Sewing & Service LLC!
Whether you're a seasoned quilter or a newbie, this event is perfect for anyone looking to learn a new quilting technique or just enjoy some crafting time with fellow enthusiasts. Bring your own fabric scraps to start a beautiful and unique quilt top.

Bring lots of 2.5 inch strips of fabric. You can bring a jelly roll, or about 12 fat quarters of precuts or it can be scraps that we sew together. This works best with fabric cut on the wof (width of the fabric. strips about 40" long) but you can also sew pieces together to make them the same length.

To start, you'll want at least two yards of fabric. And at least six different pieces. To make a whole throw sized quilt top, you'll need about 5 yards total.

Be random with me!

We sew the strips together and then iron and cut them in a special way to make them into squares.
If you're really big on matching and can't stand randomness, bring a yard of a solid color and we'll settle your quilt down for your brain.

What to bring with you:
Bring your sewing machine or borrow one of ours

6 or more different patterns of fabric scraps cut 2.5 inches wide by width of the fabric or 12 fat quarters or a jelly roll of precuts 2.5 inch strips if you'd like it to have some pattern you can bring 4 random fabrics and a yard or two of a solid coordinate

an 8.5 inch square ruler (I have four for the classroom)
