🎭 AUDITIONS FOR MISERY

We’re excited to announce auditions for Misery, based on the chilling novel by Stephen King and adapted for the stage by William Goldman.
📝 SYNOPSIS:
"Misery," follows novelist Paul Sheldon, who is rescued from a car crash by his "number one fan," Annie Wilkes. He wakes up captive in her secluded home, where her obsession with his work turns violent when she discovers he killed off her favorite character, Misery Chastain. Annie forces Paul to write a new novel bringing Misery back to life, subjecting him to psychological and physical torment. The play explores themes of fan obsession, control, and survival.
🎭 WHAT TO PREPARE:
- A 1–3 minute dramatic monologue (serious tone).
- It does not need to be memorized, but it should be well-rehearsed.
