Continued Machine Sewing

In this 2-hour, machine sewing class, you will learn the different stitches your machine offers and when to use them. You’ll learn to clean and oil your machine, sew curves, sew tight circles and different styles of pinning. We’ll also make a drawstring bag using the skills you’ve learned.

Students must have experience threading a sewing machine, loading & winding a bobbin and sewing a straight stitch to take this class.

We have portable sewing machines that you can borrow if you don’t currently have one. Please note that you’d like to use a studio machine when prompted for the make/model of your machine during sign-up. If you have your own machine, please bring that to class along with your power cord/pedal, manual (if you have it) and an empty bobbin or two.
