Are you a Hawkesbury local wanting to learn about the sport of target shooting?
Our open day allows you to experience the thrill of shooting a pistol without the need of a licence. Our experienced staff will guide you through all the safety aspects and show you techniques in a safe and controlled environment so you hit the target every time!
You will shoot up to 50 rounds of ammunition using our .177 calibre Air Pistol and up to 50 Rounds using our .22 calibre Rimfire pistol. We’ll score you on our ISSF standard turning target system and you can take home air targets to show off your results.

What does the open day experience include?

One-on-one supervision by Range Staff

Note: Due to supervision requirements not all participants can shoot at once.
If you are unable to meet any of the below requirements, you will NOT be permitted to partake in this event on the day.
Only persons 12 years of age or older are able to participate in the Open day Program.
Dress Code: Enclosed weatherproof shoes, closed top shirts.
You must complete and meet all requirements of the NSW Police P650 declaration on arrival.
Pursuant to the Firearms Regulation 2006 (NSW), you MUST bring the original proof of ID document, and it must be an acceptable form of photo ID (e.g. Driver's License or passport) to support your P650 declaration. The photo ID must be the same type as what is on your P650 declaration.
All minors (persons aged between 12-17 inclusive) MUST be accompanied by their parent or legal guardian. A legal guardian must have documentation to prove legal guardian status. The P650 Declaration must be completed by the minor and signed by the minor (Sections A, B & D). The minor's parent or legal guardian must sign the NSW Police P650 declaration (and thus consent to the minor possessing or using a firearm; Section C). The minor's parent or legal guardian MUST bring an acceptable form of photo ID (e.g. passport) along with:
the minor's birth certificate OR passport
AND the minor's current Medicare card.
If you are from overseas, you must bring your passport. No other identification, with a photo or not, can be accepted.
Range Officer’s decision is final.
If you have not met the legal requirements (above) before the start time of the open day session, you will not be permitted to participate.
