The Richland Community Library has been awarded another Libraries Transforming Communities Grant by the American Library Association. This grant will help us to better serve patrons with disabilities.
With our first LTC Grant, the library was able to accomplish so much! Here are just some examples:
- Establish an Accessible Reads collection including large print & dyslexic font for kids & teens
- Upgrade our audio system for enhanced sound clarity for programming
- Improve over facility to help with overstimulation, including sound proofing, comfortable seating and sensory kits & games
As a member of our community who fits into/has family within the target audience*, we want you to hear our ideas and let us know what you think we should use the second round of funding for.
*Some of the groups that will benefit from this grant include, but are not limited to: students with learning disabilities and neurodivergent populations.
If you are interested in attending, please let us know! Pizza & drinks will be available during the event.
