Green Ambassador Certificate Community Cleanup

Are you passionate about environmental sustainability? Do you want to understand and address the issues, to make a meaningful impact in your community? Sustainability is not a destination, but a process of reflecting on actions and adapting strategies as needed.

One Earth One Chance is launching a Green Ambassador Certificate community education series via in person sessions and eLearning, to teach sustainability, in partnership with UTD and multiple DFW cities. Please register for the learning classes on the second Saturday of each month, 10:30 am - 11:30 am. Additionally, join litter cleanups from 8:30 am - 9:30 am in a park close by and receive annual awards and community service hours based on # classes/events attended. Children under the age of 11 must be accompanied by an adult.

We will conduct litter pickup to protect our green spaces and wildlife, keep our waterways clean, learn environmental responsibility, and build a healthier community.
Here’s what you will do:
✅ Walk around the park with grabbers, gloves, and safety vests, picking up any litter you see.
✅ Take a video or picture of "The Strangest Item You Found During Your Cleanup?", post it on social media and tag us
