Embodied Morphologies brings together three international artists whose practices explore the body as a site of transformation, perception, and material encounter. Developed during their one-month SÍM Residency in November 2025, the works reflect a range of artistic inquiries - from the tactility of analog photographic processes to immersive digital video and spatial installation.
Artworks gesture toward the shifting forms through which the artists sense, record, and interpret their surroundings. Through darkroom experimentation in collaboration with Ljósmyndaskólinn, intimate lens-based studies, sculptural arrangements, and moving image works, the exhibition traces how physical, emotional, and environmental impressions become translated into visual and spatial morphologies.
Presented as a one-evening pop-up exhibition, the event offers an opportunity to witness artistic research in progress and to engage with the artists about their residency experience.
We warmly invite guests to join us, experience the works, and meet the artists in person. Refreshments will be available throughout the event, followed by a shared pasta buffet toward the end of the evening - a moment for gathering, conversation, and reflection.
