Other Grounds Day 3: GLACIER GHOSTS / GLETSCHERGEISTER - Workshop for kids

The third day of Other-Grounds Film Festival is dedicated to the Passing Down Knowledge and will host a workshop GLACIER GHOSTS.

The participatory storytelling and drawing workshop focuses on environmental education around glaciers and the imagination of the future generation of tomorrow. Children and adults from and around the Reykjavik community are invited to listen to stories and folklore of glacier ghosts living in the habitats of bodies of water and alpine glaciers.

In the workshop participants create drawings and short stories from Icelandic glaciers, which will be brought to life in the form of paper sculptures. The Glacier Ghosts sculptures and their short stories will be presented to the public at the SAARI art residency in Finland in summer 2025.

This event is free of charge. Everyone is welcome to join.

Accessibility in Elissa auditorium is good, there is a low threshold into the hall. On the same floor is a toilet with good access and changing facilities.
