Attend the June 7 special recycling event hosted by the city's Sustainability and Solid Waste team. Staff will be accepting mattresses, box springs, cardboard, Styrofoam, and tires.

🥫 Non-perishable food donations will be collected at each 2025 recycling event to help Renton neighbors in need. Donations will be provided to the local food bank.

✅ Accepted items:
Mattresses must be dry and no excessive stains, no bed bugs and no blood stains ($35 cash for each piece)
Cardboard must be flattened
Tires for cars, pickup trucks & motorcycles
Bias ply, steel belted and studded tires accepted (Take tires off rims; limit 10 tires)
Styrofoam peanuts and bubble wrap (Bagged packing peanuts accepted)
Clean white block Styrofoam (Look for #6 or EPS inside the recycle symbol)
❌ Items that CANNOT be accepted
NO semi truck or tractor tires
NO tape or labels

The Furniture Repair Bank will collect gently worn and damaged furniture to be restored, repaired, and then gifted to community members in need. The list below includes the types of items we would like to collect at the event. YOU MUST COMPLETE AN ONLINE APPLICATION BY WEDNESDAY, JUNE 4. You will be notified by June 5 close of business if approved. Picture of item/s required. A limited number of items will be accepted and we reserve the right to reject any item on the day.

Dining chairs; side, coffee, or dining tables (for 2-6 people)
Loveseats and small couches
Dressers
Shoe racks
Shelves
Nightstands
Lamps
Mirrors
❌ Furniture items that CANNOT be accepted:
NO office or rocking chairs
NO bar stools
NO futons
NO outdoor furniture
