Attend the September 13 special recycling event hosted by the city's Sustainability and Solid Waste team. Staff will be accepting Styrofoam, plastic bags, and documents for shredding.

âś… Accepted items:
Styrofoam peanuts and bubble wrap (Bagged packing peanuts accepted)
Clean white block Styrofoam (Look for #6 or EPS inside the recycle symbol)
Grocery bags, film, clean food bags, plastic amazon envelopes
Up to four boxes of documents for shredding (banker size 12"x15"x10") or equivalent in bags (Paper, blueprints, mail, photographs, and file folders accepted. No need to remove staples, paper clips, or rubber bands)
❌ Items that CANNOT be accepted
NO hard plastics, tarps, toys or totes
NO tape or labels
NO binders, plastics or discs
NO ID badges or driver’s licenses
NO cardboard or hard cover books
🥫 Non-perishable food donations will be collected at each recycling event to help Renton neighbors in need. Donations will be provided to the local food bank.
