Fall Photo Hike at Bartley Ranch

Fall Photo hikes are an occasion to walk with a park ranger and explore locations, techniques, and ideas for photographing the natural beauty of Washoe County. Please bring your choice of camera - can be any type, including film, digital, cell phone camera or maybe something you built yourself! We recommend also bringing comfortable walking shoes or boots, a water bottle, and sunscreen, sunglasses, and/or sunhat.

This location celebrates Nevada’s ranching history with several historic buildings, antique farm and ranch equipment, horse arenas, multi-use trails and working pastures. Red-tailed hawks, coyotes, bobcats and cottontails are some of the creatures that make their homes here. Easy walking on mostly flat trails.
