Introduction to Botanical Dyeing- Extraction Method

Be introduced to the magic and beauty of natural dyeing. Learn which plants and kitchen waste to used, how to mordant protein and cellulose fibres and the technique of extraction dyeing. Experiment with modifying colours. You will receive 50 grams of wool yarn, 4 embroidery floss skeins as well as a selection of cotton, linen and silk fabric to experiment with. We will create at least 4 colours. All materials and written notes provided.
