Redcar Kite Festival 2025

Redcar Kite Festival is back!
Saturday 14 & Sunday 15 June
Redcar & Cleveland Council’s FREE family friendly festival will once again take to the skies at Majuba Beach welcoming some of the most spectacular kites from around the world, brought to Redcar by our partner Northern Kite Group with support from Tees Valley Combined Authority.
Last year’s festival saw more than 17,000 visitors flock to the town and this year’s event promises to be bigger and better than ever 🌊🏖☀🌬
It runs 10am to 4pm both days with:
🪁 Kite flying displays in our beach arenas
🪁 Kite making workshops
🪁 Art, science and environment workshops
🪁 Beginners’ corner
🪁 Street food & drink stalls
🪁 Live entertainment
🪁 Walkabout characters including giant stilt-walking octopi, magical cloud travellers and a debonair sea captain with his water skiing wife!
