Summer Solstice Plein Air Paint Out

Join the Red Deer Arts Council for our 2nd annual “Summer Solstice Plein Air Paint Out” on Saturday June 21st and Sunday June 22nd! The event will take place at the Heritage Ranch Trails, along with the Alberta Sports Hall of Fame and Museum.

This two-day event will feature time to paint late into the golden hour on Day 1 and an Art Show and Sale, with adjudication and prizes on Day 2! Our friends at the Alberta Sports Hall of Fame & Museum will host the wet canvas sale starting at 2pm on June 22, 2025.

Registration is required for participation along with a fee (RDAC member rate is $20.00; non-member rate is $30.00). Children are able to paint for free with a parent, though their work will not be adjudicated.
