We already had PD Day Camps planned for October 9 and 10, and now have quickly added special Day Camps for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday next week. Over time and as the need continues, we'll get better at the special day camps as we go, but wanted to be sure to have camps in place to help parents immediately - offering a fun alternative for kids to spend those first three days they won't be in school. The Thursday and Friday day camps were planned, facilitated and supported already - as those days were regular, scheduled school PD days.
Monday, October 6: Food and Fun
We’ll be creating some food-themed art, enjoy the nice fall weather with an outdoor picnic, and have a glowingly good time!
Tuesday, October 7: It’s Fall, Y’all
Dress for the weather for this one! We’ll spend some time in the Log School House, take a leisurely walk to Rotary Park for lunch and playtime, and make art with leaves.
Wednesday, October 8: No School=Old School
We’re back in the Log School House for some old-fashioned fun, where we’ll explore some interesting artefacts, play tried-and-true games, and end the day with a toasty silly song campfire.
Thursday, October 9 and/or Friday, October 10: Perplexing Puzzles
Wanted for Day Camp:
Private investigators who love searching for evidence and decoding riddles. Jobs may include dusting for fingerprints and investigating cryptic clues. Skills will be necessary as there has been a rumor there is a thief in town, should anything happen to a special artifact, we will need trained detectives to solve any mysteries that may occur. Apply as soon as possible!
Registration is required and spaces are limited Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Before and after care available. Find out more about day camps offered the week of Oct 6-10 on our website www.reddeermuseum.com
