About the event

Traditional ink making and writing workshop
In this 2 hour workshop led by Nicky Temple, we’ll explore the history of ink making and discover the wide variety of useful materials and resources found in nature – including the oak gall.

We will experiment with Jane Austen’s own recipe to make the oak gall ink with which she penned her famous novels, and play with a range of dip pens, quills, and brushes.

Additional information:
This is an adult and child workshop designed for 1 adult and 1 child (age 7+) to work together. Tickets are sold in pairs and it is unfortunately not possible to bring additional or unaccompanied children.

Booking essential | £10 per Adult and child (joint ticket)
