At this year’s Organic Growers Gathering, the soil won’t be the only thing alive with energy. On Sunday evening, acclaimed folk trio The Ciderhouse Rebellion with Molly Donnery bring their improvisational magic to the Hardwick Estate, weaving music as rich, layered, and vital as the growing networks celebrated here.
Touring their latest album A Little Bit Slanted, this unique collaboration - Murray Grainger (accordion), Adam Summerhayes (fiddle), and Molly Donnery (The Haar, vocals) - takes traditional Irish song and breathes fresh life into it. From the misty beauty of Mo Bhuachaillín Donn to the joyous race of Murphy’s Running Dog, their performances are never the same twice - each one as organically grown and responsive to the moment as the fields around us.
