Opening with Beethoven’s triumphant Fidelio Overture, prepare to then be swept away by the deeply expressive melodies of Brahms’ Violin Concerto, showcasing the dazzling virtuosity of violin soloist Tamsin Waley-Cohen. To close the concert, the sweeping grandeur of Sibelius’ Symphony No.5. From its enigmatic opening to the blazing finale, this epic journey through the depths of the Romantic spirit will leave you breathless.
