About the event

Camp Huntington Summer Alumni Camp
Registration forms are being accepted for the annual summer session open to SUNY Cortland alumni at Huntington Memorial Camp in July 2025. The session which will run from July 2-6, 2025 is being offered to alumni and their families.

Enjoy hikes, kayaking, sailing, canoeing, relaxing, reading a book, and more. Bring a shirt and make your own silk screen creation. Spend evenings around the campfire with marshmallows and s’mores.

As most know Camp Huntington is only accessible by water this time of year. Consequently, we would greatly appreciate if everyone arrives at Antlers on time so that we may transport you and your gear over to camp. Arrival time will be on Wednesday, July 2 at 2 p.m. - be prepared to ride a pontoon boat across the lake to Camp Huntington. Dinner will be served at 6 p.m. Guests will depart after breakfast on Sunday, July 6, the last day of your session.

Guests will be assigned to dormitory style housing according to family size. Showers and bathrooms are located in or adjacent to all dormitory facilities. In most cases, families will need to share a bathroom facility. It is suggested you bring a light sleeping bag or bedding for twin-sized beds and a pillow. Bed linens and towels must be provided by all participants. There is no janitorial or maid service available at the Center. All guests are requested to keep rooms in a neat and orderly condition and to leave them in “as good as, or better” condition. Cleaning supplies and equipment are provided.

All meals will be served family style in the Fuge Dining Hall at the following times - 8 a.m., 12 Noon, and 6:00 p.m. Every effort is made to provide tasty, balanced meals. If you or someone in your party has special dietary needs please let us know the participant’s name and their need as soon as possible.

A single telephone is available at Camp Huntington and is used for business and emergency purposes only. IN CASE OF EMERGENCY, the phone number is 315-354-4784.

Recreational equipment available for the summer session includes canoes, kayaks, and SUP’s. Families should provide their own child size life jackets. Marked trails are nearby for hiking, along with a self-guided Nature Trail. You are also responsible for the safety and well-being of your own children. There are no babysitters or lifeguards on site. Due to the location and setting of Camp Huntington, family pets are NOT permitted.

Registrants will receive a Formstack confirmation once the form was received. Your registration will then be reviewed and a confirmation email sent to you from our Outdoor Education office. Reservation and payment policies: A $100 deposit is required once your registration is confirmed by our office. If deposit is not received within 2 weeks of confirmation from the Outdoor Education office (NOT Formstack), your reservation will be removed. Reservations are on a first-come, first-served basis. Cancellations made at least 3 weeks PRIOR to your stay will receive a full refund of your deposit. Cancellations made within the 3 week window to your stay will NOT be refunded. Guests who do not show up for camp, and do not cancel, will be charged the session fee, and will not be allowed to return until the fee is paid. Please note that we do not prorate the costs for partial stays. Please make all checks payable to SUNY Cortland.

Every effort will be made to insure your stay is comfortable and enjoyable at Camp Huntington. If we can be of any further assistance prior to your arrival, please do not hesitate to contact us.
