Olavinlinnan piiritys 1788

Savonlinna siirtyy syyskuussa 1700-luvulle ”Olavinlinnan piiritys 1788” -tapahtuman myötä.

Riihisaareen kohoaa sotilasleiri ja Olavin markkinat, joissa yleisöllä on mahdollisuus vierailla. Päivän aikana ohjelmassa on mm. äkseerausta, paraati sekä taistelunäytös Olavinlinnan piirityksestä 1788.

Kymmenet sotahistorian harrastajat Ruotsia myöten elävöittävät historiaa 1700-luvun univormuissa ja asuissa, ja taistelunäytöksessä paukkupatruunoita ammutaan myös Olavinlinnan ampuma-aukoista.

Ohjelma, markkinat ja sotilasleiri ovat avoinna yleisölle.

Päivän aikataulut tarkentuvat myöhemmin.

Tapahtuma on osa Savonlinnan Syystulet -tapahtumaa sekä Olavinlinnan 550-vuotisjuhlavuoden ohjelmistoa.
