The Garvey is a culture-rich, festive summertime gathering that commemorates the life's-work and legacy of The Rt M-Hon; St. Marcus M. Garvey.
Held annually in Sacramento CA, ‘The Garvey’ brings together a host of Black businesses and organizational entities to share resources & information with Black/African communities via education, entertainment, arts & culture.
Highlighting the vision and spirit of Marcus Garvey, The Garvey Festival aspires to inspire, empower and incite individuals & to take collective action in Black/African social affairs.
‘The Garvey’ is a place and time for communities and individuals of African Ancestry to be together - to fortify the commitment to Black-Love, Unity, Interdependence & Liberation. It serves as a reminder that we are unified in our plight and that we are stronger together.
