Operating Rules
USE OF GROUNDS AND ARENA
1. All riders attending must have on file with the ROCC signed Release of Liability and a parent/guardian indemnification agreement, if applicable.
• Guests must sign a liability release form before riding, training, or otherwise working with horses on club property. LIABILITIES WILL ALSO NEED TO BE COMPLETED AT TIME OF RELEASE OF LIABILITY.
2. Anyone using ROCC facilities does so at his or her own risk. ROCC shall not be liable for any injury or property damage incurred by members and/or guests using the club’s facilities, with or without a trainer.
3. Horse shall not be permitted in the area between the two rings or within the area near the chuck wagon (requirement of the Health Department).
4.All dogs must be on leashes while on the ROCC grounds (requirement of Animal Control
Department).
6. No person under the age of 18 may ride or handle a stallion on the grounds (requirement of ROCC insurance).
7. Any rider on ROCC grounds under the age of 18, must wear an approved helmet.
8. Boots are required for all contestants
9. No one under the age of 21 may consume alcoholic beverages on the property (State law and a requirement of our liquor license). Because ROCC is a family club, the assistance of parents is asked in policing the activities of minors on the grounds.
10. Parents shall be responsible for the supervision of their minor children while on the ROCC grounds.
ARENA ETIQUETTE
1. All contestants and their family members and/or friends are expected to always display good sportsmanship. Foul language, misconduct or derogatory, threats and abusive (this includes arguing) comments spoken to any contestant, spectator, staff member or volunteer will result in a disqualification and possible suspension of being able to compete at events. This also includes any abuse of the sportsmanship rules via social media, face to face, email or any type of negative communication will result in disqualification and suspension of membership.
2. Horses are not to be turned loose during the jackpot.
3. Arena gates are to always remain closed, except when they are being used for entering or exiting the arenas.
4. Trash: Please pick up all your trash (and any that you see). Let’s leave the facility better than we found it. So, we can continue to have races here.
5. Contestants running multiple horses should remember that the draw is random. Often, the producers will attempt to space out a rider’s horses as a courtesy. This can only be done if you arrive early in the day and complete your entries in ample time so that the producers can attempt to space out your horses. This is done as a courtesy. If you arrive after the open has begun, there will be no guarantee that your horses will be spaced apart. IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO COMMUNICATE WITH THE PRODUCERS.
6. Draws: YOU are responsible for checking the draw that is posted to make sure that you are listed correctly. This is especially important with the Youth. Check to be sure that you are listed properly as a Carry Over or as to run in the jackpot. If you do not notify the office personnel of a mistake on the draw BEFORE the jackpot begins in order to make the corrections. You are responsible for making sure the draw is correct.
7. Draws will be posted at the sign-up office and will be read through before the jackpot is to begin.
PAYOUT
We will be using a payout that will ensure the last hole in the 4-D receives close to their entry fees back. The payout will be a 75% payout. Results will be posted on social media on the events page or on one of the Admins Facebook Pages. This will either be same day or promptly the following day.
TIMES, DATES, FEES SUBJECT TO CHANGE.
