Why The Hell Knot and The Hi-Sides

See Why The Hell Knot and The Hi-Sides at Slim’s on August 16th from 9-11pm! Why The Hell Knot is a Chapel Hill punk band, stopping by Raleigh on their east coast tour. The story of how they met delivers the energy they bring: Two guys from Boston walk into a bar.... one is a Replacements fan and the other has on a Sonic Youth t-shirt. The first guy says 'Hey can you play bass?' and the other guys says 'Yeah' and asks ' Do you have a guitar and yell a lot?' and the second guy says 'Yeah'. Then, a drummer walks up and asks the two guys 'You want to start a band?' and the two guys answer..Why The Hell Knot! And the rest is history! 

Joining them on tour is The Hi-Sides, a joyful, indie-rock band hailing from Brighton, England. Formed back in 2007 the Hi-Sides original line-up of Rick on guitar and vocals, Jon on drums, and Pete on bass are back after a 10 year hiatus and ready to bring their ska-ful beats! Busy working on new material for their first release in yonks, they’ve been playing sold-out shows in their old stomping ground and can’t wait to show the USA what they have to offer.
