Expand your sewing knowledge and skills by creating a Padded Clutch with Buttonhole Closure. Do buttonholes scare you? Do you wonder what interfacing is and how to use it? This class will teach you to sew a buttonhole with a buttonhole foot and how to install Fusible Fleece interfacing giving the clutch cushion and stability.
Supplies Needed: 2 - 100% cotton fat quarters, 1/4 yard fusible fleece, and a spool of thread to match your fat quarters. Come in and shop before class and receive a 10% discount. Craft Habit will provide the sewing machine and sewing toolkit as well as a button.
Our goal with these classes is to help you work up to projects such as bag making, quilting, or garment sewing, that maybe have you a little intimidated right now. The best way to grow your skills is to practice, make mistakes, and try again! We design our classes to be low-key and low-stakes, so you can learn with as little stress as possible. Because above all, we think crafting should be fun!
This class is open to students age 12+.
Class Requirements
Students should have taken a Sewing Level 1 class and a Sewing Level 2 class at Craft Habit, or have equivalent experience.
Skills needed: familiarity with using a sewing machine, including threading the machine, winding a bobbin, and sewing consistent seam allowances.
Cancellation Policy
Class registrations are non-refundable. If you cannot attend, you may find another person to take your place in class. Please let us know their name in advance of class starting.
Classes cancelled by Craft Habit WILL be refunded in full.
