This new class is for absolute beginners in the machine sewing world and those that do not own their own machines (yet). In this two-hour lesson, you'll learn to set up & thread the machine, change the needle, wind a bobbin, stitch with a seam allowance, backstitch, change machine settings, and troubleshoot.
This class is ideal for those of you who are ready to begin your dive into the magical world of machine sewing but because it can be daunting, you just haven't jumped in yet! Once you take this class and get hands on experience, you'll be ready to move on to our Sewing Level 2 classes, where you will build new skills and confidence.
Our goal with our adult sewing series is to help you work up to projects such as bag making, quilting, or garment sewing, that maybe have you a little intimidated right now.
If you want to bring your own sewing machine, please register for Sewing Level 1: Get to Know Your Machine.
This class is open to students age 12+.
