Join ciara anais stewart for a hands-on printmaking workshop designed to address the most prudent social justice issues and give voice to your cause. Participants will learn techniques for designing and carving their very own vinyl blocks, then use them to create a series of prints that help to advocate for the issues that matter to them. Participants will leave with a carved vinyl block and a series of prints. No experience is required for this workshop and all levels are welcomed.

About the instructor
ciara anais stewart (b. 1994) is a visual artist and cultural worker born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. In the last decade, she has lived and grown as an artist in North Carolina, most of that time spent in Durham. stewart earned her BA in Art, with a concentration in Studio Art from North Carolina Central University in 2021. She was Artspace’s 2024 HBCU Artist in Residence and was recently awarded a 2025 Ella Fountain Pratt Emerging Artists Grant from the Durham Arts Council.
