Basket Weaving Level 1: Garlic Basket

In this introductory class to basket weaving, students will learn the basics of working with basket reed to make their very own garlic basket. No prior basketry or weaving experience is needed to learn this practical old-time craft. A garlic basket uses an open weave and can be made with or without a handle! Weaving techniques that you will learn include plaiting, twining, a woven rim, and attaching a handle.

Students should be prepared to get their hands wet and wear clothes that can get messy!

This class is open to ages 12+.

Class registrations are non-refundable. If you cannot attend, you may find another person to take your place in class. Please let us know their name in advance of class starting.
Classes cancelled by Craft Habit WILL be refunded in full.
