Come celebrate Swedish Midsommar with Columbia

There will be a Midsommarstang (maypole) and a potluck feast! Yes, we are bringing back the feasting which is a seminal part of Swedish Midsommar celebrations. (More info at the bottom of the description.)
This is a celebration of SUMMER and all that grows and blooms. Part of the ritual will be decorating a greenery covered maypole with flowers. We are asking each person to bring at least one flower to decorate the maypole as an offering to the Kindreds and Deities of the Occasion. Please don’t buy flowers unless you really want to. Bring any flowers you find growing naturally. Heck, even a dandelion counts. We want to celebrate what grows from our
Earth Mother.
And of course, only bring what you feel comfortable bringing. Looking forward to seeing you there!

It is time for a Midsummer Feast!
If you wish to contribute, feel free to bring a potluck dish. We will feast right after the Key Offerings as a way to also honor the Kindreds, sharing a meal with the Ancestors, Nature Spirits, and Deities. They will have their own feasting plates at a special Feasting Altar. Dishes, cups, and silverware will be provided. And so will the Strawberry Cake!
Please mark any dishes you bring to show if they are vegan or allergy friendly. Cold dishes, finger food, and small bites are preferred.
