ART is holding an open casting call for an upcoming Murder Mystery Show to be performed in multiple venues, and directed by Chris Cash. Auditions will be held on Saturday, August 23rd and Monday, August 25th at 6:00 PM in the annex building of Coosa Valley Baptist Church (523 West Grand Ave Rainbow City, AL 35906)
Characters are as follows:
*Pierre Royale - A famous mystery writer and New Orleans detective sent to the antebellum Mansion Chateau Dupree to solve the murder of its patriarch, Jean-Jacques Dupree
*Cayenne Pepper - The Dupree family's arrogant semi-French chef of 20 years and aspiring TV star of a cooking show, Turn Up The Heat.
*Idella St. Charles - The elderly live-in made at Chateau Dupree who has worked for the Dupree family for two generations
*J Sylvester Boudin - The Dupree family's long-time attorney and Jean Jacques Dupree's closest friend and confidant
*Connika Gothika - A bizarre and eccentric novelist and Jean Dupre's next door neighbor who loves the color black and all things macabre
*Alexis Dupre - Jean Jacques spoiled, superficial socialite daughter, a southern bell and former "Magnolia Queen" at Dixie University. Multiple title holder and reigning Mardi gras queen
*Gator Gauthier - A rough around the edges, working class boy from the bayou who worked his way up through law school.
*DuMond Dupre - Jean Jacques long lost nephew, a jazz musician from the French quarter
*Dee Dee Dupre - Jean Jacques much younger new wife, a dingy waffle house waitress from Las Vegas. A fish out of water who married him only for his money.
Auditions will consist of cold reading from the script and brief interaction with other potential castmates. Please feel free to arrive in character.
