Please join us, along with NB Copes and The Maddy Murphy Memorial Foundation, as we “unmask” Mental health and unveil “Maddy’s Mask”.
Maddy Murphy was a beautiful outgoing, talented spirit who lived with a silence disease. Maddy’s family indicate that Maddy often hide her struggles behind a beautiful smile and full life. Maddy masked her pain and ultimately lost her battle with depression.
On May 8th, we invite you to join us as we unveil “Maddy’s Mask” a visual art representation of the act of masking mental health challenges. Created by local artist Pam Pastirik with NB Copes, the piece represents the masking that happens, often as a result of fear, shame and stigma. We continue to work to unmask mental health and spread the message that It’s ok NOT to be ok.
