The City of Quincy and Quincy400 are thrilled to host the ultimate summer celebration — the 70s, 80s, 90s Dance Party show — taking place on Saturday, August 16th from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM on the Hancock-Adams Common.
This free outdoor event will transport guests back in time with unforgettable throwback tunes, and an unbeatable party atmosphere in the heart of downtown Quincy. Bring your dancing shoes, retro attire, and join us for an afternoon and evening of musical nostalgia and community fun!
Event Lineup:
🎶 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM: The Side Cars Band
A dynamic tribute to The Cars, delivering all the iconic hits from one of Boston’s most beloved new wave rock bands.
🎶 3:30 PM – 4:30 PM: Joyride
Step into a live 80s mixtape!
🎶 5:30 PM – 7:00 PM: Tavares
The legendary Grammy Award-winning R&B/disco group from New Bedford, MA headlines the evening with their timeless classics. Internationally recognized for their contribution to the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack in 1977, Tavares will have the Common dancing to hits like Heaven Must Be Missing an Angel, More Than a Woman, and It Only Takes a Minute.
This all-ages event promises great music, a lively crowd, and a perfect summer atmosphere. Don’t miss your chance to celebrate the spirit of Quincy and dance the afternoon away with music from three unforgettable decades.
