CCW Training Class and Range Qualification

Hello Registrant:

This class teaches the necessary knowledge and skills to carry a concealed firearm safely, professionally, and legally in the state of California. Upon successful completion of the class, you will receive a PCSO approved certificate to turn into the Sheriff’s Office with your completed application.

*** You do NOT have to complete this class prior to applying for a CCW, this class does NOT guarantee you will pass the background, it is only a step in the process.

Information: You must pay for your spot prior to the class to reserve your spot.

Fees: Renewal $100. Please be sure to arrange payment prior to the day of the class to reserve your spot.

Payment: Submit payment to reserve your spot! Please contact me with any questions.

Identification: A state or government issued ID is required to confirm your identity.

Firearm(s): You may bring between 1 and 3 firearms that you plan to have listed on your CCW permit. (They MUST be registered to you)

Ammunition: A minimum of 36 rounds of ammunition for your primary firearm. For all subsequent firearms you wish to qualify with, you will need AT LEAST 15 rounds. We HIGHLY recommend that you bring more, in the event additional practice is needed.

Eye Protection: We require safety glasses that are designed to prevent spent shells from hitting the eyes. Prescription glasses are acceptable.

Ear Protection: A form of ear protection is required.

Range Location: The range is located 6 miles west of Quincy on Snake Lake Rd off Bucks Lake Rd. It will take approximately 12 minutes to get there from QUINCY.

Qualification: You will fire at a target at distances of 3, 5, 7, and 10 yards. The target is a B-27 full size silhouette target or similar. A passing score is defined as all shots being placed within the #7 ring of the target. The Counties CCW policy does permit this course of fire be modified if there is a medical necessity. If you believe you will need a modification, please contact me prior to the start of class.

Written Exam: There is a written exam. You will be taught everything you need to know to pass the test during the instructional period.

Please ask as many questions as possible during this class; we expect questions! Please do not feel intimidated…the only way to learn is to ask!

Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy: We will accommodate up to two (2) reschedules should any rare occasions arise. There are no refunds available, only reschedules. NO call, NO show will NOT be accommodated for a re-schedule!!
