With great pride, CESB invites all CESOs and Third Level Eligibles to “Lugom Dayaw”, a program which immerses (“lugom”) participants in the richness, diversity and dynamism of Philippine history, arts and culture (“dayaw”) through a transformative learning experience which: 1) redefines history, arts and culture as tools, resources and perspectives for governance, development and nation building; 2) empowers CES members as duty bearers, stewards and champions of “dayaw”; and which 3) harnesses partnerships and inspires collaborative action in creating a society that is free, inclusive, vibrant and uniquely Filipino.
As the nation commemorates Philippine Independence Month, let CESB usher you to the iconic City of Malolos whose quintessential architectural, religious and artistic treasures whisper stories from fascinating and memorable chapters of our nation’s history at the turn of the century. We revisit a past era defined by a dynamic, rapidly growing and increasingly complex economy; the rise of an empowered, assertive and restless middle and upper class led by patriots, artists, politicians and principalia; and the burning passion to expand the space for political, intellectual and social freedoms for the Filipinos. Let us collectively retrace our path in the continuing narrative of our journey to nationhood, guided by insights and lessons from our common past, and inspired by the wisdom and visions of our noble forebears, as we discern and co-create the future we envision and share.
Join the CES Club as we travel back in time to reach our shared future as a nation.
