National Trails Day: Alley Pond Park Trail Structure Installation

We are excited to have you join us for National Trails Day at Alley Pond Park!

NAC staff will provide instruction and a hands on opportunity for attendees to learn how to install check steps, a trail structure that improves access and mitigates erosion, along the trail at Alley Pond Park.

Meeting Location: 232-01 Northern Blvd, Douglaston, NY 11362(meeting in Eastern section of parking lot)

• Parking available
• If taking public transit, closest bus is the Q12 and closest train is Port Washington LIRR

Time: 10am - 2pm

During this workday you will:

• Learn how to plan and assess site to install check step
• Install a check step

What should you bring:

• A water bottle
• Weather appropriate clothing
• Long pants
• Sturdy, closed toe shoes
