Join us for our next Make Art: Open Stage, Open Wall and show us what you've been making!
Make Art: Open Stage, Open Wall is a quarterly multi-arts open mic night where creatives of all kinds share what they've been making with a supportive community. This August, in honour of Poetry Month, we're showcasing some of our favourite poets and asking makers to bring along their artmaking inspired by poetry.
Poetry can be like music - it has a rhythm, it tells a story. Poetry can be visual - a shape carved by blank spaces, by lineation. Poetry can be like dance - the interplay of body and language. Bring us your artmaking that plays with these intersections.
Featured artists to be announced.
Come at 7pm if you have art work to set up or want to put your name down to participate in the Open Stage. (Note that stage contributions should aim to be 3-5mins e.g. a song or a couple of poems. Chat to us if your artform might need longer.) You can also sign up to display or perform ahead of time via this form:

Annandale Creative Arts Centre Chapel
You are welcome to BYO drinks for your own consumption. Light supper, tea and coffee provided.
Holding these sharing nights is a way to continue to cheer each other in in making new art, in the spirit of the Make Art Week events we have held in previous years. One of the main points of feedback from Make Art Week was the value of a deadline. So here it is! Make something for 1st August and come share it.
Please note that our accessible route to the bathrooms is currently out of action.
